Pai

Pai  is a small town in northern Thailand's Mae Hong Son Province, near the Myanmar border, north of  Chiang Mai on the northern route to Mae Hong Son. Pai was once a quiet market village but nowadays Pai primarily thrives on tourism. Well-known among backpackers for its relaxed atmosphere, the town is full of cheap guesthouses, souvenir shops and restaurants. In the proximity of the town are spas and elephant camps. Further outside of town, there are several waterfalls and a number of natural hot springs varying in temperature from 80 to 200 degrees Celsius. As Pai lies at the foot of the mountains, many tourists use it as a base for trekking and visiting hill tribes. Another notable attraction is the town's excellent Wednesday Market which brings large and colorful crowds of local villagers and tribal people from all around the Pai Valley.

New Year I get travel to Pai , drive a car more than 700kilometer to place where many thai people like to go in winter , I drive on Highway No. 1 (Phahonyothin Road) and turn to Highway No. 32 (Asia Highway) passing Ayutthaya, Angthong, Nakhon Sawan, then by Highway No. 117 to Phitsanulok and by Highway No. 11, from Lampang, Lamphun to Chiang Mai.the distance about 696 a kilometer and  drive car from Chiangmai to Pai by taking on Highway 107 passing amphur mae rim until amphur Mae Tang to turn to the left to Highway 1095 (Mae Malai - Pai), the distance about 103 a kilometer , take time about 3 hours

Drive from Chiang Mai Turn left - Turn right - Turn left - Turn right - - - - 762 times. you will stop at Pai.

I stop at Memorial Bridge of Pai. Tha Pai World War II Memorial Bridge is establish in World War II ( 1942 ) when Japan is powerful in Thailand. Japan solider use Pai for is transportation route from Chiang Mai to Burma. This bridge is the route for transport the forces and weapon to Burma like River Kwai in Kanchanaburi province.

Today I rest at Paiburi Guest House... I think Paiburi is good resident. Because it 's cheap, near Pai Rever and walking steet. It 's easy to go to every where in Pai

The first night in Pai, I walk and shop and eat at night walking steet. Many people take photo at Mitthai Shop. It 's place to made popular romantic movies name Rak Jung.

To night have show the music at walking steet, it make people have the liveliness .. , We can buy ticket for tour to Maehongsorn at shop on walking steet. I buy ticket already and I will go to travel Mae Hong Son tomorrow.
